MEET JODI JONES
Jodi is our first The Westerman Jilya Institute for Indigenous Mental Health scholarship recipient to complete her Psychology degree, and the first Aboriginal Psychology graduate from Tasmania!
“I am a Palawa woman (Tasmanian Aboriginal) proud descendent of Fanny Cochrane Smith, originating from Flinders Island. I am passionate about social justice and ensuring that our Indigenous people have a voice, are listened to and are heard.
Without the Dr Tracy Westerman Jilya scholarship and your ongoing support, my dream would not have been possible! I am proud and honoured to be part of the #BuildAnArmy team. Thank you for paving the way for all of our people!”
This is Indigenous self-determination in action. It is about Australia coming together to say that our communities deserve what every Australian has a basic right to – access to critical and essential services best delivered by Indigenous people, for Indigenous people.
Join us in helping to #BuildAnArmy of Indigenous psychologists.
